BG Performance (BGP), like most clubs and organisations, relies on volunteers to sustain it and the members.

The Committee is responsible for the sustainability of the PC both on-court and off-court and comprises all committee members.

The Director represents the performance centre within the Badminton Gloucestershire organisation and is generally the odd job man.

Role descriptions are available using the PC ROLES and ROLE DESCRIPTION LINK on the right.

Although coaches are paid they also freely give of their own time to help the PC over and above their paid coaching and administrative hours. Indeed, the Head Coach is also the Badminton Gloucestershire Head Coach and heavily involved in the whole Badminton Gloucestershire coaching scene – her input is extensive and highly valued.  The rest of the qualified coaching team are also heavily involved in the County Badminton coaching scene whilst also supporting the community projects.

One of the Committee co-ordinates ad hoc volunteers – at the moment this specifically covers all our tournaments where we need umpires, referees and all the other roles that go to make up a successful tournament. The volunteer slots are divided into sessions of four hours a day. If you wish to volunteer please contact Sam Evans (glostournaments@gmail.com) who can advise on how you can volunteer.
